YMCA College Of Careers 青年會專業書院
Since its establishment in 1995, the YMCA College of Careers has upheld the spirit of its founding organization, the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong, “Not to be served, but to serve”, and dedicated to providing professional and well-recognized training programmes. Its service target groups include young people and working adults. By offering various types of professional training programmes, it helps learners enhance their professional skills, broaden their career prospects, and realize holistic education that fosters the mutual growth of individuals and society.
With “Quality Teaching” as its core value, the College actively promotes the concepts of holistic education and lifelong learning. In its early years, the College primarily offered practice-oriented diploma programmes such as Accounting, Company Secretarial Studies, and Computer Applications. In response to social changes and evolving workforce demands, the programme scope has steadily expanded to include short-term professional courses, Employee Retraining Board (ERB) and government-subsidized programmes, as well as Senior Secondary Adapted Applied Learning Courses for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), thereby addressing the diverse needs of different learner groups.
In addition to its wide range of training programmes, the College also actively develops professional corporate training services. Its teaching team comprises experts with extensive industry experience, who adopt innovative, theory-and-practice-integrated pedagogical approaches to help enterprises enhance staff professional competencies and work efficiency, thereby fostering a strong corporate culture of lifelong learning.
As the College approaches the important milestone of its 30th anniversary, it remains committed to its motto, “Ever Learning, Ever Growing”, and is devoted to driving institutional transformation and development. Through the offering of skills-based vocational programmes, the College provides high-quality, flexible, and multi-entry learning pathways for working adults seeking career change, university graduates pursuing career-driven training, and is dedicated to become a well-recognized institution for vocational and professional education, nurturing talents who possess both professional skills and a strong sense of social responsibility for Hong Kong.
