Part-time Programmes
YM Career 360
- Consist of two elements: learning and paid work opportunities, which enable students to acquire knowledge from lessons provided by YMCA College of Careers and apply their skills at actual workplaces provided by employers
- Build a solid foundation for S6 graduates’ future academic progression and employment competitiveness with diversified learning elements
- Equip students with basic knowledge in culinary skills, food hygiene and safety, customer service skills and related knowledge so as to enhance their career potential and competencies
- Facilitate students to obtain professional qualifications such as the certificates presented by Specialty Coffee Association and Basic Food Hygiene Certificate for Hygiene Manager recognized by Food and Environmental Hygiene Department
- Focus on practice and application which enhance self-learning
- Fully subsidized by the employers during the programme period
Programme Features
- Through combining industry component and learning elements, students can learn in the workplace while preparing themselves for degree programme.

Work Opportunities Provided by Employers
Each student will enter into a 2-year contract with the employers. Students are required to work 4-5 days a week (depending on the employers’ work arrangement). The employer is required to provide the following suggested salary and subsidies:
- Recommended monthly salary of not less than HK$15,000; and
- Full subsidy of the programme
Learning at YMCA College of Careers
As another core component of YM Career 360, students will enroll our “Diploma in Hospitality Studies (International Culinary Arts and Specialty Coffee)” programme (QF Level 3) and are required to attend the lessons once a week and pass the assessment, with attendance over 80% or above during the programme.
Articulation Pathway
Graduates are eligible to apply for our “Higher Diploma in Specialty Coffee and Café Management” programmme, “Higher Diploma in Hotel and Tourism Management” programme or other relevant sub-degree programmes offered by local and overseas institutions.

Admission Requirements
- Complete Secondary 6; or
- Complete Certificate or other equivalent qualifications with at least 1-year full-time study load; or
- Aged 18 or above with 1-year work experience; or
- Mature student aged 21 or above; and
- Pass admission interview
