Medium of Instruction:
Except for Chinese language courses, lectures will be conducted in English (supplemented with Cantonese as appropriate) and teaching notes and course assessments are in English.

Annual fee after subsidy HK$32,300, ($3,230 x 10 installments)

  • Offer mock-up facilities including F&B training center, professional coffee making equipment, hotel room and hotel operation system for practical training
  • Facilitate students to obtain professional qualifications such as the certificates presented by Specialty Coffee Association and Basic Food Hygiene Certificate for Hygiene Manager recognized by Food and Environmental Hygiene Department

Programme Objectives

The “Higher Diploma in Hotel and Tourism Management” programme aims to provide industry-oriented professional trainings to inspire students who strive for self and professional developments in the hospitality and tourism industries. With the theory-practice balanced curriculum, not only the students will gain a thorough understanding of the industries with their skills sharpened, but also achieve well-recognized qualifications.

It is worth mentioning that the programme under Qualifications Framework (QF Level 4) shall enable graduates to pursue bachelor degree programmes offered by local and overseas institutions.

Admission Requirements
  • Obtain Level 2 or above in five subjects* in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) including Chinese Language and English Language; or
  • Complete pre-Associate Degree or Diploma Yi Jin or an equivalent qualification; or
  • Obtain relevant QF Level 3 qualification with at least 1-year full-time study load or equivalent recognized by HKCAAVQ; or
  • Complete Diploma offered by YMCA College of Careers; or
  • Aged 21 or above will be considered on an individual basis; and
  • Pass admission interview

*An “Attained”, “Attained with Distinction (I)” and “Attained with Distinction (II)” in an HKDSE Applied Learning (ApL) subject (Category B subjects) are regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at “Level 2”, “Level 3” and “Level 4” respectively, and a maximum of two ApL subjects (excluding ApL(C)) can be counted for admission purpose.
